Racine Epoxy Flooring is an epoxy flooring contractor in Racine, WI, with more than 20 years spent on garage slabs, basement floors, shop and warehouse floors, and commercial kitchens. We grind, repair, test and coat concrete, and we polish it when the slab itself is the finish.
Most of what we know came from floors that failed for someone else: coatings peeling off damp basements, garage floors lifting under hot tires, kitchen floors that did not match an approved plan. The way we work now is built around not repeating those failures. Nearly every one of them traced back to something that could have been found before the coating went down, whether a slab still carrying moisture, a sealer nobody ground off or a permit nobody asked about.
Our Approach

We start with the slab, not the color chart. Every floor is opened mechanically with a diamond grinder or shot blaster, never acid etched, and we read the cracks, joints and any old coating before quoting. Moisture testing is a line in the scope on basements and garages alike, because Wisconsin does not require a vapor retarder under an unconditioned attached garage slab, and a floor that looks dry is not always dry. When a slab needs repair or replacement before it can be coated, we say so plainly.
Our proposals name the product, the system build and the finished thickness, so what was quoted can be checked against what went down. Every home job gets a written contract before a deposit, as Wisconsin’s home improvement rule requires, and we read the warranty exclusions out loud first, starting with moisture. We schedule curing against slab temperature and dew point rather than the calendar, ask the city or village inspector about permits before booking, and collect grinding dust and slurry on site so none of it heads toward a street drain, the Root River or the lake. We will not sell a coating as radon reduction or as a cure for water coming up through a slab.
What We Do
We install epoxy garage floors, flake and metallic epoxy floors, polyaspartic coatings and basement floor epoxy for homeowners, and commercial, industrial, ESD and commercial kitchen flooring for businesses. We also handle polished concrete, concrete grinding and concrete floor repair, as standalone work or as the start of a new floor. Plant, kitchen and shop floors are scheduled around the hours the building has to keep running, including overnight and weekend windows, with joints filled before any forklift crosses the new surface. If you have a floor in mind, request a free estimate and we will come look at the slab, test it and tell you what it can carry.
